Benefits of Membership in the UK Log Homes Council

The UK Log Homes
Council (UK-LHC) will promote the Log Home Industry within the
United Kingdom.

There are FOUR
DIVISIONS within the UK-LHC for Membership
-
Division One
– Manufacturer’s of Log Homes –
Manufacturing facilities may be located anywhere in the world. The
Manufacturer must be able to supply the UK Market.
The
Log Package must meet UK Building Regulations – The Building Regs. vary
within the UK so the Log Package must meet building regs in one of the
UK Building regulations areas.
The
Log Home Manufacturer must attempt to use Raw Timber Materials from an
area of Reforestation and support Reforestation Programs.

Division Two
– Representative or Agents
Those
whose primary form of employment is to promote the Log Home Manufacturer
they represent. The rep/agent must reside within the UK.

Division
Three – All Suppliers of Building Materials
All
products that are required to complete a Log Home Build, plus Accredited
Construction Firms & Developers

Division
Four – Supplier of Services
Goods that are required to complete a Log Home Project, that are not
directly related to the physical construction of a Log Home.
NOTED:
The Board of Directors retain the right to review all Membership
Applications and decide on the Acceptance or Rejection of the
Application plus decide on the Category of Membership.
Membership within the UK-LHC includes promotional space on the UK-LHC
Website
A web
page(s) will be set up on the website for a Members Link – Special
Design
The
UK-LHC will be doing a few shows per annum and will distribute printed
information of the Member. The Member must supply the printed
information they wish to have distributed within reason. It may be
possible for a Member to send their Personal Rep. to promote their
Products at one of these shows.
The
UK-LHC will be doing Press Releases – Media Interviews – Etc to promote
the UK-LHC thus promoting UK-LHC Members
Discussions are on going with NHBC (www.nhbcbuilder.co.uk)
for the UK-LHC to be an affiliated organization for the Credibility
Factor.
UK-LHC is developing a “Code of Conduct” for the UK-LHC Membership also
for the Credibility Factor of UK-LHC Membership.
UK-LHC is in discussions with suppliers to give special considerations
to UK-LHC Members and UK-LHC Clients
Those
becoming UK-LHC Members prior to the Adjournment of the first annual
meeting of the UK-LHC will fall into Founding Members Category of the
UK-LHC.
A
Newsletter regarding the happenings of the UK-LHC will be sent by e-mail
six times per year.
The
UK-LHC website will have a Testimonial Page for use by Members and
Clients
This
is just a brief outline of what you will receive by being a Member of
UK-LHC
A
Rough Draft of the UK Log Homes Council Constitution is available for
your review.
The
UK-LHC will not promote any one Member’s Products but will provide
information on the Membership’s Products that may fit the inquiry
received. It will be the Members’ responsibility to personally promote
their own product.
To
become a “Founding Member” of the UK Log Homes Council Today is
£
800.00 (British Pounds Sterling)
Payment may be by Cheque – Money Order – Postal Draft – Bankers Draft –
Direct Bank Transfer.
Receipts will be issued upon clearance of funding into the UK-LHC
Banking system.
